Generation Wellness was founded in 2014 by Marcy Cook. Marcy recently returned to massage after spending an exhilarating year at home raising her first born child, a beautiful baby boy named MJ. She is excited to return to the workforce and incorporate her various backgrounds and techniques into a unique massage therapy practice.
Marcy Cook graduated from Campbell University in 2004 with her B.A. in Government. During her undergraduate studies she interned at the District Attorney's Office. Realizing her desire to help others didn't lay in the legal field, she enrolled in the Massage Therapy Certification Program at Miller-Motte College, graduating in 2006 on the President's List. Marcy has worked along side some of the Triangle's leading therapists gaining an insight and ability to incorporate these specialties into her individualized treatments. Marcy has continued her quest for knowledge by completing specialized classes such as I-NMT, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage and Infant Massage.
Marcy, passionate about what she does, has taught Trigger Point Therapy at Wake Technical College and Ethics courses at Miller-Motte College. She has also taught continuing education classes including Treatment Planning and Foam Rolling. She is an active member of AMTA-NC and volunteers as the current Registration Chair and past Triangle Unit Coordinator.
